Early Life and Background

Ignacio Jordà González, known professionally as Nacho Vidal, was born on December 30, 1973 in Mataró, a town near Barcelona in Spain. Growing up, he spent much of his childhood in Enguera, Valencia, where part of his family originated and where they once had a prosperous textile business before facing financial setbacks during his teenage years. Facing early responsibility, Vidal left formal schooling at around age 14 to support his family and explored various paths including a punk music phase and a stint in the Spanish Legion, where he boxed and gained life experience that shaped his resilient character.

Entry into the Adult Film Industry

Vidal’s introduction to the adult entertainment field began at age 21 in Barcelona, where he performed live shows with his then-girlfriend, Sara Bernat, at the iconic Sala Bagdad venue. His work caught the attention of José María Ponce, the director of the Barcelona International Erotic Film Festival, who encouraged him toward film work. This transition from live shows to movies marked the beginning of a prolific career that would see Vidal rise quickly in the European and international adult market. He later became a protégé of Italian adult star Rocco Siffredi, whose mentorship helped him break into the U.S. scene in the late 1990s.

Rise to Prominence and Career Development

Once immersed in films, Nacho Vidal forged a reputation as one of the most recognizable male figures in adult entertainment. Beginning in the mid‑1990s, he amassed over 1,500 appearances on screen and gradually added producing and directing credits to his portfolio, including titles made for major labels like Evil Angel. Although Vidal identified personally as heterosexual, he also directed and worked in productions spanning diverse genres. His energy and bold performance style quickly set him apart, earning him respect among peers and fans alike.
